My name is Tom Ralph, I am currently employed by VMware as a Sr. Cloud Architect in the Cloud Tenant Operations group. My group is responsible for managing and running nearly 100,000 VMs, several vCloud deployments and the user experience with those vCloud deployments. We utilize vCenter Orchestrator (vCO), vCloud Automation Center (vCAC), vCloud Director (vCD), vCenter Operations Manager (vC Ops), vCenter Configuration Manger (vCM), etc. If VMware makes it we attempt to make use of it as part of our internal ‘dog food’ process.
I currently hold several certifications, these include (but are not limited too), VCDX (VMware Certified Design Expert) from VMware, CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional) from (ISC)2, MCITP and MCSE from Microsoft. Last year I published my first book, VCP-Cloud Official Cert Guide. I am also in the process of writing my next book, due out around VMWorld 2015.
While I work for VMware, the views, thoughts, opinions and ramblings on this blog are my own and are in no way indicative of the views, thoughts or opinions of VMware or any of its partners or customers.
